Bluetooth technology is
a wireless standard for connecting portable devices such as mobile/cellular
telephones.
Bluetooth technology allows drivers to use hands-free
car kits.
Thanks to handsfree car phones, driving is much safer and simpler.
The Bluetooth specification was developed and is promoted by a group of cellular
phone companies including Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Motorola,
Nokia, and Toshiba with the goal of fostering connectivity between mobile
electronic
devices.
Unfortunately, not all mobile phones are compatible with Bluetooth. This
happens because of differences in the quality of the handsets and Bluetooth
chip programming, not all Bluetooth handsets have the same performance
when interfacing with the Bluetooth chip in vehicles.
Ford Motor Company has selected Sprint to be the preferred wireless provider
of Bluetooth phones and service for the company’s new Mobile-Ease
Hands-Free Communication System.
Bluetooth Reception
Bluetooth allows hands-free
mobile phone functionality in the car environment. Many Bluetooth
vehicle products feature user-installable remote control for easy call handling,
volume adjustment, car-radio muting and ignition sense. Handsfree
kits are
available from many mobile phone providers.
Since Bluetooth is a technology used for pairing wireless
devices, the mobile phone handset remains the primary communication
device.
Therefore, buildings, interference, or weather can impair
your mobile phone signal strength.
It can also affect calls made through the Bluetooth system.
If
you experience difficulties regularly in specific locations,
it may be network related and you will want to contact your wireless phone
provider
for more help. If you have difficulties in areas where
you know there a strong connection, you may want to contact the phone manufacturer.
